preparing for talk about about social choreography I found this video of Pivot House. by ballet frankfurt. it was put together in a morning to premiere in Reggio Emilia that night. the dancers made the structure as it went along. giving space for each other and communicating with public at the same time. an art video of various movie clips ( made by mark Spradling) played backstage to also give us idea. very very cool. why can’t we all live like this. come and hear the talk on next Friday. Soltau. Die Kulturinitiative Soltau hatte „We Are All Here - The Show" im Rahmen des niedersächsischen Tanzgastspiel-Netzwerks „Spotted" nach Soltau geholt.
Die Kulturinitiative Soltau hatte „We Are All Here – The Show“ im Rahmen des niedersächsischen Tanzgastspiel-Netzwerks „Spotted“ nach Soltau geholt.
#kulturinitiativesoltau #tanzkoop

Estate 2026:

I feel very grateful to share my knowledge, questions, interests and passion for the Feldenkrais Method and its relation to movement and dance teaching at two amazing places in Frankfurt: the profitraining at Künstlerhaus Mousonturn @mousonturm and at the so beloved Master in Contemporary Dance Education MACoDe @ma_code_hfmdk_frankfurt, directed by Professor Ingo Diehl @ingodiehl @sum.triebel. I leave the city plenty of energy to continue trusting my approach in teaching. Thanks to your feedback and exchanges (you know who you are, people). I feel inspired, empowered and motivated. Thanks @pihlajaala for your generosity, @laurahicks_projects for your trust and @hannahshaktibuhler for being such a wonderful friend. I have been very happy and I hope to see you very soon.

“Ilana Reynolds und Laura Hicks brachten mit ihrer Performance „We Are All Here – The Show“ die Gäste in Halle 19 zum Staunen.

Ilana Reynolds and Laura Hicks amazed the audience in Hall 19 with their performance “We Are All Here – The Show.” The show combined expressive dance with socially critical elements and captivated the audience. But the show offered more than just dance perfection.

The diverse and passionate performance by Canadian Laura Hicks and American Ilana Reynolds was the best possible advertisement for the art of dance and was supported by “Spotted,” Lower Saxony’s first dance touring network.

Body Mapping - radionica kontaktne improvizacije
Laura Hicks
21.3.2026., 10:00 - 13:00
Frankopanska 22

Kroz susret i rad s tjelesnim senzacijama povezivat ćemo elemente partnerskog rada s tehnikom improvizacije. Promatrat ćemo mehaniku kontakta- kada i gdje dolazi do prijenosa težine, kada je podrška prisutna ili izostaje te kako možemo dopustiti gravitaciji i podu da podrže naše kretanje.

Laura Hicks (1979., she/they) je kanadska plesna umjetnica koja živi u Njemačkoj.
