On November 26, La Fábrica Subin opens with Exquisite Encrucijada, a gathering of artists whose work moves between interior worlds and collective realities, asking what becomes possible when we imagine beyond the world we know. The crossroads is our starting point. Artists arrive from distinct positions, exploring consciousness, identity, belief, desire, and transformation. Some works turn inward, toward private states of perception and longing, while others examine the narratives, economic systems, and cultural myths that shape collective life. Over several months, the program unfolds through exhibitions, performances, screenings, conversations, music, literature, and gatherings. As these practices come together, affinities, tensions, and contradictions emerge, forging new relationships among works that begin from very different places. The crossroads resides in this multiplicity: the encounter between different ways of seeing, knowing, and understanding the world. What if consciousness is a meeting place? A space for curiosity, perception, and the unknown converge. In CALLING, Laura Kirar explores connection through sound, symbolism, and ritual. Petrichor Projects developed the curatorial framework for EXQUISITE ENCRUCIJADA at La Fábrica Subin, grounding the inaugural program in intellectual inquiry, and connecting artistic practices with larger questions about belief, perception, and the human experience. LA FÁBRICA SUBÍN | YUCATÁN, MÉXICO What happens when a former henequen factory becomes a place for contemporary art, ideas, and unexpected encounters? Petrichor Projects developed the foundational cultural strategy, conceptual direction, positioning, and editorial voice for La Fábrica Subín, envisioned as a container for culture and experience outside Mérida, Mexico. In collaboration with Laura Kirar, our work included the original conceptual and interpretive framework for EXQUISITE ENCRUCIJADA (November 2026 – February 2027), a series of exhibitions, performances, screenings, conversations, and gatherings taking the crossroads as a point of convergence and a moment of choice. Featured here is a reel produced by Petrichor Projects introducing Julian Rosefeldt’s DEEP GOLD (2013/14). Revisiting Luis Buñuel’s L’Âge d’Or (1930), the film places the tensions between lust and social constraint within a contemporary landscape of sexual freedom, feminism, and economic inequality. It asks what has changed since Buñuel challenged the sexual repression and bourgeois morality of his time, and what forms of constraint persist today. Today we join @foratravel advisor @hebsiq to visit @haciendasubin a beautifully restored 17th century hacienda outside Merida, Yucatán and one our absolute favorite places to visit in Mexico. Home to the incredible @laurakirar and @rwf333, for more than a decade they’ve lovingly restored this historic estate, honoring the hands that built it centuries ago. @casitahomes_ and @foratravel had the privilege of visiting recently and spending the day with Richard and Laura ❤️ Richard and Laura toured Fora Travel Advisor @hebsiq through the history and restoration of the home - which we’ll be sharing on YouTube in October! The result is a living piece of history, where every vaulted ceiling, weathered archway, and sun-soaked courtyard is a testament to architectural heritage and the beauty of preservation done with care and respect.

@haciendasubin One of the dreamiest places I’ve ever visited. I never imagined I’d find myself here, but this summer I did with my friend @dailygio. Found and brought back to life by Richard @rwf333 and Laura @laurakirar , with interiors designed by @laurakirar. Meeting Richard made it even more special. A wonderful afternoon of conversation and discovering how much we shared in the way we see the world. Thank you Richard for opening your home to us and for such an inspiring conversation 🤍

This extraordinary 17th-century hacienda in Mérida, Yucatán, was once a jungle-covered ruin. Artists Laura Kirar (@laurakirar) and Richard Frazier spent years restoring @haciendasubin, preserving its original stonework, Moorish arches, and layers of patina while transforming it into an eclectic, creative sanctuary. Mexican folk art, ceramics, furniture designed by Laura, and treasures collected over decades fill the rooms, alongside colorful tile, soaring ceilings, and sculptural details. The result is a richly layered home where history, craftsmanship, and a lifetime of collecting come together.
