We were truly blessed to sponsor and participate in the Healing Trauma in Relationship workshop yesterday. It was an incredible time of connection, learning, and growth alongside local therapists.💚

A heartfelt thank you to Karen Pando-Mars for sharing her wisdom and expertise, and to Gateway Foundation for sponsoring this event alongside us, making this impactful gathering possible.

This workshop served as a powerful reminder that while trauma often occurs in relationships, it is also within relationships that profound healing can take place. We are honored to continue expanding our knowledge to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care that fosters hope and healing for our clients. Here’s to growing and healing together! 🫂

Another intensive week is officially underway. 🌿

We’re so honored to witness these incredible women hold space and guide healing for this small group of individuals.

We keep our intensives intimate on purpose — because evidence-based research shows that therapeutic alliance and emotional safety in small groups enhance trauma recovery outcomes.

✨ A gentle reminder: trauma often happens within relationships — and it’s within safe, attuned relationships that true healing begins.

Here’s to a week of connection, courage, and most of all… genuine, lasting healing. ❤️‍🩹

🎤 A message from Tonya Bassett — our founder, CEO, and lead trauma therapist.

“Everyone has a story.” Your past doesn’t define you—but sometimes, unhealed trauma can keep you feeling stuck. Real healing starts when you have the right tools, the right support, and a space where you can be fully seen and heard. 🫂

That’s exactly what we focus on at our intensives: giving you what you need to heal, grow, and reconnect with the version of yourself you’ve always known was there.

Curious about what your healing journey could look like? DM us the word “HEAL”. We’d love to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing. 🤍

✨ Meet one of our Trauma Healing Experts ✨

When you are struggling in life, the last thing you need is to feel judged or shamed. If this is your experience, or if you have been in counseling with little to no change, there is nothing wrong with you, and in fact, you have everything that you need inside of you to heal, grow, and transform. 🌱

Laura's own journey of healing informs the way she works with her clients, which is important because a therapist can only take you as far as they have gone themselves. This motivates her to find meaningful and the most effective ways to help people experience healing, wellness, and thriving. 🧠

Laura is passionate about staying updated with the current research and most effective ways to heal, regulate, and experience your most authentic + meaningful life. She knows that this is not only possible, but it is innately wired into you + your mind-body. 🤓

Laura's therapeutic approaches include accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP level 2), somatic + body based, Internal Family Systems (IFS level 1) and parts work, EMDR, attachment work, inner child, emotion focused therapy, and other trauma and experiential therapies. All the therapy is evidence-based, integrated from a polyvagal-informed perspective, and non-pathologizing. 🛋️

Laura offers to undo your aloneness, walk alongside you, and help you discover hope, embody safety, create change, and empower you to access the transformance within, so you can live your most authentic life. 💫

If you are interested in working with Laura, she offers Trauma Healing Intensive Retreats at the Breathe Lodge. This 5-Day Program is the best way to work with Laura. She also offers intensives for Individuals, couples, and families. 🌳

While every relationship looks different, there are ways in which you'll be able to identity if the relationship you're in is a healthy one. •

The same way there are red flags for unhealthy relationships & unhealthy behaviours, there are green flags for healthy relationships & healthy behaviours as well. This list only consists of a portion of what indicators point to the presence of a healthy relationship, but hopefully the shed some light for you. •

My hope is that you find yourself in a healthy relationship that will fill you up and add to your life in the most beautiful ways. It's a work in progress, but I promise you it's possible. ♥️✨
