Regional Treasures.

Finally made it to Terra, in beautiful Paihia, Northland. We’ve been trying to visit for ages, and this time the stars aligned, and we were able to host our New York family for this treat as well.

Marcus and Sarah have created a special space - we sat out on the terrace and were treated to sunset skies. The ambience is resort town perfect.

Between the four of us we worked the menu, and were impressed with every dish - loving the local produce and clever combinations for flavours - as well as the special touches that elevated our dining experience (such as a fresh Keri Keri Orange sorbet palate refresher, served tableside with a local vodka shot).

Especially loved the paua dish, though everything was of such high quality it’s hard to pick a favourite.

J enjoyed her Negroni, made with local gin & vermouth - and we chose a family favourite - Quartz Reef Blanc de Blanc Methode Traditionnelle.

Marcus & Sarah have created a memorable restaurant. If you’re in the area or even the area, I strongly encourage you to try for yourself.
