The messy mansion 🏚️

-

This colonial style mansion has sat abandoned for a few years now following the death of the couple who once lived here, both were very busy and wealthy people who looked to find their perfect final place to stay which i would say they did! Originally built in 1987 this awesome mansion has some very keen details that differentiate it from others in the area featuring a three car garage which has two identical Cadillac El Dorados and a drop top BMW 550i inside, two very large living rooms, a home office, a full complete intercom system throughout the whole house and many other amenities. It is believed that the husband had passed a few years back leaving his wife alone in the home where she could hardly maintain all of the items, She passed only a few years following her husband.

The infamous police station 👮‍♂️

-

Built around 1915 this small city police station served its purpose for its community for almost a decade until 1997 when the building was deemed unsafe due to the vast amounts of asbestos, mold, fuel oil and an overall lack of structural integrity. Following its vacancy it was overlooked by many developers but none fell through, as of march of this year the building is slated for demolition and will likely happen in the next few months.
I hate my set from here and wish I could run it back but for now this will do 😔

The farm house

-

This little farm house sits abandoned on a 7 acre property off a major roadway in Rhode Island, not much is known on the old owners although based on some of the finds I can tell he sure loved cigars. The property was bought for a whopping $750,000 back in December but it is unknown what they will do with it as of now.

The 70s house

-

Not much is known about this house and why it has sat vacant but one thing is known for sure, the amazing layout and large living room area gives this house a very unique look and feel. Located off a major roadway the property has been on the market for a few years now but nobody seems to show any interest due to the large size and location.

Where’s the city rug?

-

This former Catholic school for kindergarten through fourth grade has sat vacant since mid 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, since then the halls have sat eerily empty. Although the connected church still holds masses it seems as though this building has been forgotten, all of the empty classrooms give a view into what the days were like as a student there prior to the world going quiet.

The car hospital 🚗🏥

-

This almost 250,000 SQFT hospital was one of my favorite explores, originally established in a mansion it was later converted to a “Hospital for incurables” in 1892. The hospital would later see many expansions and changes one major one being after a fire in 1930 where 145+ patients needed to be rescued but thankfully all made it out without any casualties. One of the key features of this hospital that makes it so unique and appealing is its “Easy Street” rehabilitation facility, Easy street is a specialized rehabilitation environment that simulates real life scenarios such as streets, stores and cars which aims to help patients get back to their regular lives. Also featured in the building is a gorgeous Classic Revival style chapel. Since 2017 the future of this place has been unknown but it will hopefully one day be brought back in order to keep serving its city.

I didn’t know those worked 😬🎥

-

This awesome Roman Catholic Church has sat vacant since Christmas Day 2022 due to financial issues and a dwindling number of parishioners. The gorgeous vaulted ceilings and unique stained glass really makes this one stand out from others, the large 60ft stained glass mural is one of a kind with an Eye of Providence in the center. Ownership of the property is unknown but a $9 million dollar offer was made in 2023 that has still not been accepted.

The deer head house 🦌

-

This Greek revival style farm house was built in 1850 by a prominent man in its once small town, the house features a side hall plan with a recessed wing and attached barn. All of the family’s belongings remain at a stand still, with all of the family photos still hanging on the wall and scattered throughout it makes you wonder what must’ve caused them to leave to abruptly. The house was added to the National Register of Historical Places in the mid 80s which is why it has been yet to be demolished.
