When I was younger, I created a life bucket list that included riding a horse one day. For my birthday this year, my husband/dog dad helped me check this dream off my list.

I have to give a shout out to our trail guide, Laurel @highhorsemalibu She was absolutely amazing and their horses are truly the best. Thank you for the thoughtful birthday gift of Pepper’s horseshoe that was given to me for good luck. You will never know how much it meant & how much I needed it. Riding Pepper today comforted me in ways I never imagined❤️

Though there are plenty of incredible places to ride across Southern California, these are five of our favorites. From the coast to the high desert, each is worth adding to your list!

Safe to say that I am immediately hooked on oil painting… even if I have absolutely no clue whether I’m doing it right yet 😂
You know what they say though, practice makes perfect. And when you’ve stumbled across the painting-worthy vibes of @laurelryser, it’s hard not to want to give it a go ✨
