That frustration? It doesn’t mean you’re bad at it.
It means you’ve stepped outside your ✨comfort zone✨ New styles, new techniques, new pathways in your body. Of course it feels awkward before it feels good.

You don’t come to class to stay where it’s easy. You come to grow 🌱 So when the self talk turns sharp, try this instead 👉🏼 “I’m not bad at this. I’m new a this.”

Be patient and let it be messy for a minute. That’s where the magic actually happens 💜✨ Allow yourself to be a beginner. Allow yourself to refine your skill set without tearing yourself down in the process 🙏🏻

The new movement lab! And I got to do it in trainers. (Everyone else was in commercial heels) I’d like to challenge myself to that next. This was a great session, another inch forward of the comfort zone. So I didn’t obsess over some of the movements, I said to myself how would I do this if I was messing about having a dance at home. Thanks for another great class @lauren_kenealy @lakita.dance

Me: gliding in knowing full well I’m about to change the arms, the legs, the direction, the counts and probably the entire fucking thinng 😭

“Was it the right arm…??” “No.” 😂

🌈 Happy Pride Month 💜

Everybody deserves to experience movement in a space where they feel welcome and free to be themselves.

For many LGBTQ+ people, finding spaces where you can fully relax and take up space isn’t something that’s guaranteed. We don’t take that trust lightly. We’re proud to be home to a wonderfully queer community of students, instructors and friends who make this studio what it is 🥰
