One year!

A year ago, we stood before God and made a promise. We thought we knew what the journey would look like. Oh girl, how wrong we were hahah!

This year brought laughter we never expected.
Tears we never planned for.
Prayers answered in ways we never could’ve imagined.
And prayers that taught us how to wait.

There were wins worth celebrating.
Losses that left us holding onto each other a little tighter.
Moments that felt full.
Moments that felt uncertain.

But through every season, one thing truly remains.
God was FAITHFUL. Not because every chapter was easy, but because He never stopped being who He is.

I wish we could celebrate this as if it was a perfect first year, but I’ve come to understand that this is a celebration of a perfect Savior who carried two imperfect people every step of the way.

His grace is enough.
His promises are true.
And His faithfulness never fails.

there is no substitute.

what we want can never satisfy the craving, the emptiness, the desire to be seen, to feel loved.

i spent years running, living for the approval of others, yet was only met with overwhelming love and grace.

He fulfills. He heals. Justifies. Unites. Triumphs over all pain.

if you question why the world is filled with evil, feel hopeless, or are confused by the modern church, Jesus loves you.

He leaves the 99 for the 1. He wants to be with you.

avoiding only digs the knife deeper. the easy route will not lead to life. if you let Him in, i promise you will experience freedom.

He created us with free will. the choice is ours.

@thedwellingplace.nyc is a refuge on earth for His presence. a broken people who continue to surrender to His plans.

i could have never imagined being a part of something so beautiful. this is just the beginning.

Hi I’m new to the 30s club, please be nice to me ✨🪩 #May17

How does that saying go? “How silly of me to think that I haven’t grown just because I’m not yet where I envisioned myself to be”…..yeaaaa something like that, I forgot lol. That’s one of the mindsets I’m going into my 30s with.

All glory to God, He’s carried me my entire life but I’ve really gotten to know who He is in these past 10 years of my life. He’s been my hiding place and my pillar of strength through all of the good and the bad.

Thank you to my family and friends for celebrating with me and wishing me a happy birthday this past weekend 🤍. One of the greatest gifts God has given me in my 20s is the people I’m surrounded by.

Looking forward to this new decade 💃🏾🪩✨

Sometimes you don’t realise it’s the end, and then… it’s the end 🥹🥰 When the Lord says it’s time, it’s time. Goodbye New York, I will always love you 😘 A most beautiful chapter of my life. ❤️ My dearest friends, I’m sorry I didn’t get to do a farewell party, I will miss you most of all. You’ll all just have to come and visit in Australia 😉🤗🥳🏝️

2025

This year was definitely a year of thankfulness. Beautiful, bittersweet and fun:
- Travel (so many miles)
- Seeing Gen-Z hungry for Jesus
- Seeing beautiful unions (summer of weddings)
- So many engagements (they grow up so fast 🥹)
- Moving to my first NYC apartment (in my fav borough with a dog!)
- My mom finally reconnecting with family (after a long 25 years)
- My mom, dad and I hugging realizing it will be a while till the three of us are together again
- Lost my job
- Getting a new job that is a start to my career (yay)
- Joining a church plant
- Being surrounded by amazing community

Thank you Jesus for the year it has been, as 2026 comes, my heart posture will alway be in thanks and surrendering…
