Probably should’ve made three posts instead of trying to fit it all into one, but Lauren and I just wrapped up eight months abroad.
We traveled New Zealand in a van, spent Christmas in Australia, surfed in Indonesia, hit the road for another two months in the van, worked at a hunting lodge, and finished it all off in Fiji with Lauren’s family.
I feel incredibly lucky that everything worked out and that I got to experience all of it with my best friend. Even better, after being together 24/7 for eight months, we still like each other. Love you lots, Lauren! ❤️
A huge thank you to all the friends we met along the way and all the homies we crossed paths with. I also got to have my family visit twice; first for a massive road trip, then again for the tahr hunt. Special shoutout to @100dollarbilliam ; we could not have done it without you.
Stoked to be back in the US… and just in time for America 250. 🇺🇸

#inspiration • “Three surgeries. Zero quit.”

She came to us having already been through two ACL surgeries. Two reconstructions. Two recoveries. And still — something kept pulling her back.

In December 2023, we gave Lauren every tool we had:

🦵 ACL revision (2nd revision) — quad tendon autograft, our gold standard

🔧 Large medial meniscus repair — inside-out technique

🔧 Recurrent lateral meniscus tear — all-inside @arthrex_inc Scorpion repair

That’s three procedures. One knee. One shot to get it right.

Yesterday, @laurenlanfear crossed the finish line of the @south_island_ultra_marathon New Zealand South Island Ultra Marathon — 100km through some of the most brutal terrain on the planet.

She sent us the video.

We don’t have words. Just chills.

This is why we do what we do. Not to get people back to “normal” — but to get them back to extraordinary.

Congratulations, Lauren. You did the hard part. Every single mile of it. 🏔️🇳🇿
