In light of Valentine’s Day - I have a message for those of you who are currently partnered.

If your partner has asked you to go to couples therapy and you’ve been resistant, I want you to hear them fighting for deeper connection with you, happier moments, more intimacy.

These are ✨good things✨ and couples therapy can help you get there.

It doesn’t mean something is wrong with you, it isn’t embarrassing. It means you value your partner and you want to learn how to connect to them in this season of life.

I’m a couples therapist and going to my own couples therapy drastically changed my marriage for the better. And I am forever grateful that I have a husband who took the leap and did it even though a big part of him didn’t want to. And no, just because I see couples didn’t mean I could help us when we really needed a therapist!

So if you really want to connect and love and thrive and your partner has asked you to consider couples therapy - listen to them 🖤
