WOW so many emotions came with this one! US OPEN CHAMPION!!! And now current number 2 in the world. And most special of all my whole family was there to celebrate and be in the moment with me (even my brother @michaeltilly who’s a pilot and just the day before was in Brazil and Peru and landed just before my semi finals and came straight to the beach!!) Thank you to everyone who as reached out and who has continued to be on this journey with me! And of course thank you to @martinshapes and to @freeflyapparel for your support and belief in me! An honor to share the podium with @soleilerrico @taylorjensentj @jayresquivel !! Will enjoy the moment of this one now at home and then it’s off to the next! Bit of a false start today at the @wsl longboard world championships. (Last two photos are literally less than 10 minutes apart) long story short: Morning started with waiting a few hours on hold for the swell to fill in. Finally paddled out in the first heat of the day just for fog to roll in at the start and force the heat to go on hold after 8 minutes - after holding for an hour the event was called off and we’ll try again tomorrow. Fingers crossed for more waves and less fog 💨 @martinshapes safe to say my board definitely brought some color to the foggy day!
