⚾ More Than a Game. A Lasting Impact.

For more than two decades, LAVC Athletic Director Dave Mallas has dedicated himself to mentoring, educating, and preparing generations of student-athletes for success, both on and off the field.

For Director Mallas, athletics is about much more than wins and losses. It is about building character, developing discipline, learning teamwork, and creating experiences that students can carry with them throughout their lives.

“Valley College is my home… it’s my second family,” Mallas shares.

At the LAVC Foundation, we believe these transformative experiences are an important part of student success. Donor support helps strengthen programs and opportunities that allow our students to learn, grow, compete, and build a lifelong sense of pride in being a Monarch.

💚 Your generosity helps make experiences like these possible for current and future LAVC students.

⚾️ Showing love to Hot Corner Baseball ⚾️
Owned by Francisco “Pancho” Enriquez Jr. — a San Fernando High School baseball standout who went on to play at USC and is now pouring back into the Valley baseball community.

As a customer and supporter, I can say this place is the real deal. From quality gear to real baseball knowledge, Hot Corner is a go-to for families who live and breathe the game.

I’m big on supporting local, especially businesses built by people who came from here and continue to give back. If you’re a baseball family in the San Fernando Valley, make sure this spot is on your list.

Made it out to today’s San Fernando High School Baseball Alumni Game—arrived a little late but still had the chance to connect with coaches, current players, and alumni. Huge thank you to Head Coach Figueroa for the incredible hospitality and genuine gratitude. I truly love supporting my community and all 818 baseball programs. Respect the tradition and the people behind it. ⚾️🤝 #SFHSTigers #818STRONG #AGENTUBEDA #UNITETHEVALLEY #SFHSBaseball

Attended the 2026 CSUN Baseball Preseason Banquet & Fundraiser with my son Matteo (12) ⚾️❤️
A special night surrounded by alumni, supporters, and the Matador baseball family.

Proud to be one of the event sponsors, supporting my local university and community — but the highlight for me was watching Matteo raise a paddle and donate his own allowance to support the team. A small moment that meant everything as a dad.

The night celebrated the past, present, and future of CSUN Baseball, including the surprise awarding of scholarships to four student-athletes and fundraising efforts toward team development and stadium upgrades.

Moments like these are bigger than baseball. Grateful to share them with my son. 🖤❤️⚾️
