We are a collective of QTBIPOC cultivating spaces for community, healing & celebration✨
📍DC, Piscataway Land
NEXT EVENT: 10/17 SCARY JANE 👻🍃

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last summer, the dispatch spoke with some of DC’s queer and trans organizers about what it means to commune and celebrate while under an active occupation (Slide 3). For Y26, @thesashaarchives turned that question inward, asking what responsibilities we hold ourselves accountable for. The archives continue to serve as a compass but what do our present realities require of us? Read the full retrospective (and the questionnaire) in dykes city dispatch!

In celebration of Pride Month, we're proud to spotlight Leslie Telleria (C'21), a GSP alum whose passion for community, culture, and belonging continues to make an impact both on and off the Hilltop.

Reflecting on her Georgetown experience, Leslie shares:

"It would have been impossible to separate my queer identity from the social justice-oriented communities I was a part of at Georgetown."

At Georgetown, she was involved in the Community Scholars Program (@cmea_georgetown), the Justice & Diversity in Action Living Learning Community, and Ballet Folklórico Mexicano de Georgetown (@bfmgeorgetown). Leslie later co-founded Lavender Evolutions (@lavender.evolutions), a QTBIPOC collective that has brought together more than 3,000 Queer People of Color across the DMV. After graduation, Leslie continues to build spaces where people can thrive.

We are proud to celebrate Leslie and the many LGBTQIA+ GSPers whose leadership and commitment to community strengthen Georgetown and beyond. 🌈
