We had so much fun on this shoot for Truly Unruly!! 🔥🙌 I got to cast my talented friends, and work with a crew that helped it really seem like a party, which is a super special thing. Sooo grateful for my team and the trust from a company like @truly to bring these vibes to life! 🙌✨🤗 Love you, LA!

💬 Comment “WORKSHOPS” to enter to win a free seat at one of my upcoming lighting workshops!

Flashback Friday! 🦃

#Portrait and #BehindTheScenes from my lighting workshop in LA featuring @lawaunclark , hosted by @willysanjuanphotography 🙏🏼

I used a @matthewsgrip double net to cut down the amount of hair light hitting his hair while still letting it sculpt the shoulders — a simple tweak that made a big difference in the final look. Lit with @elinchrom_ltd.

📅 Upcoming Workshops:
• Chicago – February 21
• Orange County – March 22
• Washington, D.C. – March 28
• Atlanta – April 11

#Portrait and #behindthescenes from my lighting workshop in LA featuring @lawaunclark. Hosted by @willysanjuanphotography 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I actually created this double exposure in camera during the workshop so the first solo photo you see in the reel is just a stand in. First we captured the image on the right first with the main light on camera left, and then we flipped the lighting, set the first image as our in camera overlay and captured the second image. I’m using a flag from the Matthews Road Rags kit to darken his clothing, and I’m using a scrim to keep the light from blowing out his hair. I’m teaching single day lighting workshops in Seattle 6/2, and Orlando 11/3 plus a two day advanced lighting workshop in Chicago on May 18-19th.
