my cup is truly overflowing with love and admiration for all of the incredibly talented humans i had the privilege of getting to know at SSBD this year while working on the media team 🩵

the best part about going to a festival is being able to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere, the music, the art, and the people. ideally, the experience is so seamless that you can disconnect and simply enjoy it without giving much thought to how it all came together. but behind every experience and every tiny detail is a person, often an entire team, who spent months putting in countless hours to make it happen.

a special shoutout to @maxhite1, @samsferrone and @kevinjamesreilly for their vision with @tikis.music and all the hard work they’ve put in to get where they are today. what started as an idea has grown into multiple festival stages, including three at SSBD, with each year bringing something new, bigger and better than before. i’m amazed by the entire tikis team and everyone else who lent a hand in bringing Coconut Cove to life. it really takes a village and i am so glad that this village happens to be mine. 🥹🤞🏼

and a HUGE shoutout to @taelorromo, THE jack of all trades who works her absolute ass off. not everyone gets to see the long nights, no sleep, and the countless little details that go into directing SSBD’s media year round. but those who do know, see just how much of yourself you put into everything you do, and it’s one of the most beautiful things i’ve ever witnessed. i’m so lucky to know you, work alongside you, and call you my best friend. i love you so, so much.

i’m leaving SSBD 2026 with the utmost appreciation for the media team, production crew, vendors, medical, green team, and SO MANY MORE. the best part is that the hundreds of people who work behind the scenes to make it all happen are also the best, most fun humans ever. so much talent, hard work, and heart goes into this absolutely perfect festival.

festival stage #6: Tikis Coconut Cove
a @tikis.music experience for @ssbdfest

it takes a team, and is nothing without one.

as i reflect on this experience the word that i keep coming back to is “team”.. to find a person, let alone an entire group of people who are willing to dedicate their time and energy to a project for the sole reason of loving it and wanting to contribute is rare, special, and something i am eternally grateful for.

no one sees what goes on behind the scenes… before the doors open and the fresh faces flood in and fill the very sand you spent a week running around on, that same ground you saw sunrise after sunrise, climbed truss, put grommets on fabrics; day by day a mini world forming before your eyes.

no one sees the 20+ hours a day for days on end of massive fabrics laid out on a living room floors, broken sewing machines, sleeping in masks in garages with half built wood fabrications to make sure the house doesn’t catch on fire.

no one truly knows what goes into these until you’re on the other side of it.

so thank you, thank you to everyone who was a part of this. no budget is too small to make a dream or vision happen, but it take a team willing to believe in it.

I feel so grateful for every moment I got to share with such incredible humans. This squad is one in a million and I am so happy to be apart of it. The freakiest raddest mfkas on this planet fr🫶🏼 I hate that all my hoes are in different area codes but that just makes me so much more inclined to keep traveling to see mi familia🐣 can’t wait til the next aftiesaftiesafties🤍
