Sodium levels may have finally come back down to earth, but the happiness for the success of #GLIZZLEMANIA5 is still keeping me on Cloud 9.

Thanks to the hard work and unparralleled efforts of SO MANY people, the event was a complete Success!

Thank you to @woodwardmeats and @dalethemeatman for sponsoring this years event and providing all of the glorious beef bullets that were served at this year's event. People were trying to tell me how good they were but the chewing kept getting in the way! They were delicious!

Thank you to @styll.ca for their belief in the event and their willingness to help make it continually memorable. The absolutely gorgeous new #GLIZZLEWEIGHT Championship was designed and created through the efforts of the #Styll design team, and all praise should be directed to Shahin and @honourablemenchen for the final product. Absolutely stunning!

Thank you to @Caplansky our Mustard Sponsor who provided us with a smorgasbord of deliciousness, including jars for guests to take home (and make everything they make at home delicious too). The variety was the perfect accompaniment to the garnish table which had everything else you could possibly need.

Thank you to our outstanding chefs who gave us their own time and recipes amidst some of their busiest times. You all could have EASILY said you couldn't participate, but you all eagerly jumped on board and trusted that the outcome would match the vision that I described, and were a major reason that this years installment was the greatest #GlizzleMania of all time. Your creativity was the reason for a lot of excitement and deliciousness. Im very lucky to know such amazingly talented and gifted Chefs.

Thank you to @alvin.quincy.photo and @izaac.t for capturing the memories for us. I genuinely looked at my phone after the event and had been so busy that I took 3 photos of the entire event. Because of your diligence, and eye for beauty and art, we will always have memories to look back on fondly and laugh about. I can browse through the smiles and laughter and know that this event is worth it. I am grateful to be able to showcase the event through both of your lenses.

Be the East End Grill Hero this summer. 🔥

When we asked four-time Michelin Bib Gourmand pitmaster Lawrence LaPianta from Cherry St. BBQ for his rib recipe, he didn’t hold back.

His biggest piece of advice?

Sauce late.

The sauce is designed to caramelize, not burn. Warm it up, brush it on in thin layers during the last hour of cooking, and let it build into that sticky, glossy finish.

You can find the Cherry St BBQ sauce at major grocery stores and some of our favourite east end spots like @collected_joy @hookedinc @bodegabycitycottage and more!

Save this recipe for your next BBQ, and if you make it, tag both us and @cherrystbbq so we can see how it turned out.

🍖 Happy grilling.

A perfect summer weekend at the @brewerythebeast Toronto at @hendersonbrewing ! Celebrating the quintessential summer activity with some of the region’s well-known food establishments!

The event showcased the best of the grill, in a laidback and fun atmosphere, with filling portions and plenty of libations. A healthy cross section of restaurants were on hand for all to enjoy, from classic Toronto institutions to Michelin listed ones.

Many of the chefs were also on hand, with plenty of great opportunities to chat as they doled out delicious bites inspired by the grill! This informal interaction was a very special treat indeed. Great food, good vibes … A great success!
