Sharing some behind the scenes from the first film I directed as a Los Angeles resident: FRESH START

This was an exceptional set that I have @jeddzepp, the writer and impeccable lead, to thank for entrusting me with. I’d also like to thank his co-star @lawrence_calhoun_actor, for bringing a warmth both to his excellent performance and to our scrappy little shoot.

For creating a gorgeous looking film, I have my immensely talented cinematographer @zoelokelani to thank for bringing her eye for striking compositions to each frame. Ensuring that this movie both looks good and sounds good, we have @katie_janosky to thank for clearly capturing these two great performances, and the sounds of the city that this film serves as a love letter to. Lastly, I’d like to thank our on set barber @jtblndz who, despite doing so on a cluttered film set, still pulled off a damn good haircut.
