Bait balls,dolphin pods, gray whales and even a juvenile great white shark were all encountered on our 30 mile paddle from Avalon to Long Beach even though we didn’t paddle solo the entire trip like a few of our other gnarly beast friends I was on a four-man relay with three of my good friends it was definitely challenging physically and also mentally, but it was an experience. I will never forget and for a good cause definitely beat up and really sore today, but I wouldn’t change it for the world until next year boys!!🍻🤙🏽🍻 #crossingforkj

It’s time to introduce our teams taking off one week from today to paddle from Catalina to Long Beach in memory of Kobe Jackson 💙

Our first relay consists of Eric, Chris, Brennan, and Lawrence (in order) who will be followed by Eric’s boat. These are some of Kobe’s dads, Erik’s, good friends who are ready to get after it next weekend and spend some time on the open ocean. Give em’ some love!

There's a long list of our brothers and sisters from our scene over here that grew up bodyboarding / surfing around here. Some of them are no longer with us here anymore or moved away. But the moments in the water, on the berm, under the pier, in the shop or the lot will live on Forever ❤️‍🔥.

Friday. WNW to head at most west exposures, better at standouts. SSW creeps up further to chest, occasionally better. Favorable morning conditions with peaky sets at combo magnets

Saturday: VERY SOLID LONG PERIOD WNW a few feet overhead to DOH at most west exposures, potentially much larger at standouts especially later. Morning conditions looking favorable

Sunday: Continued well overhead to DOH WNW. Models currently showing doable morning conditions

Monday: Still pretty solid leftover energy. Widespread chest to head, with standout still seeing sets to a couple feet overhead. Weather in question, more tomorrow
