Laxfilet is an underground artist from Durbach, Baden-Württemberg, rooted deep in Germany’s Black Forest. Active for over a decade, he started in Hip-Hop before evolving into a versatile, sample-driven sound blending dusty vinyl chops, drum machines, samplers, and raw synthesizers. Today we release an EP from Balout Krew & Laxfilet, a Palestinian-German duo influenced by West Bank wedding music, Baladi rhythms and the power of Darbuka. The artwork, created by Philipp Macedo and Majed Amer, conjures the Palestinian gazelle, a symbol of grace and resilience for a people fighting for survival in the face of ceaseless, horrific violence and injustice. All proceeds from the EP collected on bandcamp, Aladin (Balout Krew) will personally deliver to a school near his home village in Al-Nazla al Gharbiya, Palestine.
