Teaching my next Bean to Bar class at @layeredcakeartistry Nov 4th. Class batch will feature the India 🇮🇳 bean with date sugar. Sending each participant home with an India bar plus Vanilla Bean white chocolate pieces. "Pecan Pie" will be the inclusion bar we will make together in class. Come taste nibs and chocolate bars from around the world. this room was filled with so much laughter, creativity, and connection at our last cookie decorating class. 🍪

I committed to trying new things in 2026, and this was a big one for me.

I almost let myself get in my own way, though. How many times do we say no to opportunities, experiences, events, or connections because we’re scared? Guilty. 🙋🏻‍♀️

This time, I decided to say yes (after first saying no 😆). And then, of course, I questioned my decision right up until the big day. The butterflies were definitely still there, and I had no idea if it was going to go well, but I still did it.

And you know what? After the initial nerves calmed down, I started to find my groove and I had the best time!

It could have gone horribly, but it didn’t. And I never would have known I could do it if I hadn’t given myself the chance to try.

So, this is a message for future me and whoever else needs to hear this:

Do it.

Do it scared.

Do it unsure.

It’s okay to be nervous. It’s okay to get uncomfortable and stretch yourself.

You can feel scared and still be capable.

Just give yourself a chance to find out.

You’ve got this. ❤️

🎤✨ MEET VIC REEVE! ✨🎤

Meet Vic Reeve, a familiar face at Kennewick First United Methodist Church and someone who serves our church in MANY ways! ❤️⛪️

Vic is a member of our Trustees Team, Lawn Team, Revival Praise Team, Soul Soup Team, and Burrito Rollers Team—and now he’s adding karaoke singer to the list! 😂🎶🎤

At our upcoming Karaoke Night, Vic plans to take the mic and sing a special song to his wife, Debra Reeve! ❤️

Debra is also an active member of our church family. She has helped with our church website, is part of the Silent Twelve and Doublets Group, and will be helping with setup and cleanup for Karaoke Night. 🙌🏽

So we have to ask… 👀

Today was our Summer Market at @layeredcakeartistry !! The theme we wanted for this was bright, summery flavors so I added a creamsicle cake, triple berry cream puffs, watermelon mint lemonade, key lime tarts, and brought back chocolate chip cookie jar mixes! We also had strawberry ice cream pizzelle sandwiches, pizza + focaccia, choc dipped housemade oreos, and more! We had so much fun putting this menu together and we are so happy with how it turned out! We also stopped by @earthspirit_shop and @ritual_candle_bar to shop and pour our own custom candles! Would highlyyy recommend going if you haven’t (Erin and the team there are the best)! We also had drinks at @blackthorne_neighbourhood_pub and stopped by @storytimebookshoptc , @frogpatchpaperandworks and @sourdoughies_tricitieswa ! Thank you for supporting local businesses! 💛
