💛🖤 A LOOK BACK 💛🖤

“One of the most vital ways we sustain ourselves is by building communities of care, resilience, and possibility.” — bell hooks

We were grateful for the opportunity to come together on June 13, for the 3rd session of our Homeownership Series for First-Time Buyers, where participants had the chance to learn, ask questions, and connect with trusted community partners dedicated to expanding access to homeownership.

Thank you to everyone who attended, and to our valued partners—PNC, NID Housing Counseling Agency, and Sister-Nomics®—for sharing your expertise, guidance, and commitment to empowering future homeowners. Your willingness to educate and serve continues to make a meaningful difference in our community.

Every conversation matters. Every resource shared has the potential to open new doors. We hope each participant left feeling more informed, more confident, and better prepared to take the next step toward homeownership.

#Homeownership is about more than owning property. It is an opportunity to build stability, create generational wealth, and establish a place to call home.

Thank you for allowing the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. to be part of your journey. We look forward to continuing this important work together. 🏡🤎 #NCBW #NCBWGCC

I had the pleasure of discussing opportunities to advance black homeownership during the Own Cincy 2025 Housing Policy Symposium, at the Policy & Advocacy Roundtable with esteemed co-panelists:
• State Senator Catherine Ingram
• State Senator Louis W. Blessing
• State Representative Ashley Bryant Bailey

Point 1 – Black Women in Lending:
Black women still face higher denial rates and higher fees in mortgage lending — even when qualified.

Point 2– Black Developers:
We also explored how public-private partnerships can empower Black developers to drive community development and build pathways to ownership.

Call to Action:
Let’s keep pushing for Advocacy, Access, and Affordability. Share this message, tag a Realtist, and join the movement by joining your local Realtist Board for lasting change. Let’s Close the Gap!

I love me some NAREB!!!

The National Association of Real Estate Brokers has given more opportunities than I ever thought possible.

✅Region 8 Assistant Vice President (under the amazing @amberwithambition , who has now advanced to NAREB NATIONAL 3rd VICE PRESIDENT)

✅ Ohio Realtist Association Corresponding Secretary

✅ @toledorealtist local board Public Image and Engagement Chair

✅ Graduated with a SELECT number of new NAREB Developers!!

Proud to serve on the regional, state, and local level of an organization doing real work in our local communities and across our nation when it comes to advancing homeownership in black communities. Being one of the youngest in my local chapter. I am always so inspired by NAREB Conventions.

So many people paved the way for me and people who look like me. We will continue fighting for democracy in housing!

As always, it’s a great time, to be a REALTIST💙

The Urban League movement is strong, united, and ready to meet the staggering challenges of the present so our children may have a brighter future.

📸 Swipe for scenes from the official kickoff to #NULConf25: the 2025 State of the Urban League Address, where our National Urban League President & CEO, Marc H. Morial outlined where we stand, key priorities for our communities, and the path forward toward justice and equity.

Greater Cleveland Realtist Family and Friends; mark your calendars to attend the Community & Family Day, hosted by the National Urban League and the Urban League of Greater Cleveland.

This is a great opportunity to invite your friends, family, and colleagues for a day of networking, education, entertainment, and resources for everyone.

Our own Madam Amber Lewis @amberwithambition , Region VIII VP, and our ORA President Robert Pasker @robpasker will be on the Main Stage to speak to the audience about the ABC’s of Homebuying, so you want to get your seat at the Huntington Convention Center early!

Then, plan to stop by the Building Black Wealth Pavilion, where you will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a Realtist, a NID Housing Counselor, a lender, and an attorney.
