The Ignite SME Summit 2026: The Convergence was such a valuable experience and a great reminder that there is always something new to learn as an entrepreneur.

From insightful conversations and fresh perspectives to meaningful connections, the summit created space for honest discussions around business, growth and the opportunities ahead.

A big thank you to the Oaktree Team and the ie360 platform for bringing this experience together, and to Vannie, CEO of Oaktree, for creating spaces that encourage entrepreneurs to connect, learn and think differently.

I left feeling genuinely inspired, with plenty to reflect on and take forward.

Graduation Collection: VESTIGE

VESTIGE explores the human desire to preserve what is fleeting — how ornament becomes a form of memory, and how beauty is used as a shield against time.

Drawing from the symbolic logic of Ancient Egyptian burial practice, the collection examines why we archive the body, why we gild what will eventually decay, and why we labour to hold onto what time is already eroding. Gold beading becomes a paradox — both divine and unsettling — a metaphor for maggots beneath gold, for beauty intertwined with deterioration.

This range pushed me in every way: creatively, technically, emotionally. Patterns were rebuilt, silhouettes re-engineered, shoulder heights rebalanced, and entire garments reconsidered. Every bead, fold, and panel was a negotiation between control and surrender, between the concept and the craft needed to bring it to life.

VESTIGE taught me more than I expected — about intention, resilience, and who I am becoming as a designer.

And none of this would exist without the beautiful models who brought these garments to life with such grace and presence. 🖤

I’m still in disbelief 🖤

Winning the 2025 SAFW Student Competition still feels surreal — like a dream I keep replaying just to make sure it’s real.

This has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life — one that’s taught me more about myself than I ever expected to learn. There were moments of exhaustion that felt bone-deep, where I questioned everything I thought I knew about my own strength. But somehow, through every long night and every moment of doubt, it all led here.
