Oh North Florida Region, where do I even start.

When I stepped into my first chapter program five years ago, a pool party at Lily Toll’s house, I didn’t particularly like it. At that point, BBYO was only something my mom had talked about from her youth. Since then, though, I have found not just an organization, but a place that has given me everything.

Rebels Aza, although small, taught me the biggest lessons. It taught me that brotherhood is not measured in membership, but in the strength between them. It taught me leadership before I even knew what that meant. It taught me how to show up, how to care for something bigger than myself, and how to believe that only one person can make a difference.

This region has truly made me the person I am today. It has believed in me, pushed me, and challenged me too many times to count. NFR has given me brothers in every corner of this state. It has given me mentors I still look up to today and friends who have become family.

I am proud of what NFR has accomplished this year. From exceeding our goals in membership and GBD funds raised, incredible chapter successes, and returning Convention to a camp for the first time in years, this region has stepped up in an incredible way.
I will always be grateful for our chapters and Regional Board for the work they put in this year. The foundation built in NFR has been years in the making, and I am so excited to see where this region goes next.

Serving as your 22nd Regional Godol this year has given me more than I ever could have imagined. It gave me confidence. It gave me community. It gave me a voice. But more than anything, it gave me the privilege to serve something I love. To lead this region, to help shape its future, and to give back to a movement that has given me everything. That is something I will carry with me forever.

And with that, for the final time.

Fraternally Submitted with an Undying love for Rebels Aza #442, North florida Region #52, the grand order of the Aleph Tzadik Aleph, and every one of you. I humbly and forever remain Aleph Alexander William Greenwald, a damm proud Aleph, and an even prouder Jew.
