It’s been a ride…
Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way. The lessons I’ve learned, the experiences I’ve gained, and the people I’ve met. I wouldn’t be the person I am without it. Truly blessed.

In-Season Lifting for Hoopers 🏀💪

When you’re lifting in season, the goal is simple: keep athletes game-ready while still driving progress. A few keys:

1️⃣ Know your game schedule.

Game density determines everything—intensity, volume, and exercise selection. Whether you lift 1–3 days before a game or 1–2 days after, your schedule dictates how hard you can push.

2️⃣ Train high-minute and low-minute athletes differently.

Not everyone carries the same load.

• Low-minute players → more strength work, more time under tension, opportunities to build.

• High-minute players → keep strength qualities sharp but manage volume and CNS fatigue.

They already take the brunt of stress on the court.

3️⃣ Progressions + regressions matter.

Use the in-season to meet athletes where they are.

• Low-minute athletes can handle higher volumes and more technical work (e.g., cleans, complexes).

• High-minute athletes benefit from simplified, lower-stress variations (hang cleans, trap bar work, etc.) to stay explosive without frying their nervous system.

Bottom line: In-season training isn’t about doing less—it’s about doing the right amount for each athlete.
