Proof that forever isn’t a moment. It’s a choice you keep making.

Chandler and Sebastian’s wedding day was made even more memorable when the bride AND her mother received rings from her father. One symbolizing his love for his daughter and one serving as a chance for Chandler’s dad to ask his beautiful wife to spend 30 more years and forever with him.

Love is truly a powerful thing. Watching a couple who has weathered the waves of time and continues to choose each other, time and time again, was nothing short of beautiful.

We’re excited to have students from the violin studio of @laylajphumphries Layla Plunkett Humphries helping lead in worship this Sunday, November 9th at Beulah Baptist Church.

“Oh come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!” Psalm 95:1-2

Come join us, and help spread the word! As I heard it put today during a conference in support of rural and small town churches, “A church alive is worth the drive!”

Three years ago today, my husband Ted and I were married as my violin teacher Layla wrapped the moment in worshipful music. Violin has been such an integral part of my life since I was a child, and it meant so much to have the instrument (& musician!) I cherish most at our wedding.

Grateful to everyone who made our wedding day possible—our families, friends, and amazing vendors were the definition of creative and adaptable. We couldn’t ask for a better support system.

Today’s Throwback Thursday is brought to you by young Sophie! When I was 5 years old, I became obsessed with the violin after watching a group of young sibling violinists perform at my church. By 7, I was taking lessons with Layla Humphries in Birmingham, AL, and quickly fell in love with the expressiveness I could portray with a violin. As I began developing my skills by playing in All-State orchestras and competing across the Southeast, what I loved most was how I could express the things in my heart and worship the Lord with my gifts!

I’ve had this reel saved in my drafts for too long, so it’s past time to share Olivia & Drew’s beautiful spring day! ✨ We couldn’t have asked for a sunnier day for their outdoor garden wedding, and every detail from the mismatched maids dresses to the sandalwood fans for guests to stay cool was perfection! 🌸
