Sharing rejection as a process oriented artist 😔 even when it hurts and doesn’t feel good

I was accepted into a number of zine festivals this year but due to capacity and lack of finances I wasn’t able to make San Diego zine festival, the Phoenix Zine festival, the San Antonio zine festival, or the ACAB zine festival in New Orleans. I’m so sad to not have been able to make these zine festival happen because I love my zine community so much and I wanna show my support whenever I can both virtually and in-person so I still did pay what would’ve been my table fee for a lot of these festivals just because I wanna see them keep going and welcoming out of town zinesters like myself

All of the zine festivals are tagged in this first photo and I’m still hoping to make the Los Angeles zine festival that first weekend in November

This just means my October will (hopefully) be dedicated towards making new work outside of commissions and trying to get my creative sparks back in the face of rejections of art opportunities and prepping for print festivals on my November calendar
