Christmas decorations in stores before Halloween? Too early. Setting up chairs seven weeks in advance for the Belmont Shore Christmas Parade? Perfectly reasonable. We’ve got our chairs, we’re wearing our lights, and apparently we’re not the only ones getting ready! And speaking of lights… we want to see YOU light up the parade route this year! Wear your holiday lights, glow necklaces, light-up hats, or anything that sparkles. Stay tuned… this crowd is only getting bigger! 42nd Annual Belmont Shore Christmas Parade Saturday, December 5 | 6–9 PM 2nd Street, Belmont Shore #BelmontShore #BelmontShoreChristmasParade #LongBeach #LightUpTheShore

The Belmont Shore Book Fair is back, and there’s so much more than books! Join over 70 local writers, poets and publishers for a day celebrating Long Beach’s literary community. From children’s books and memoirs to fiction, graphic novels, poetry and everything in between, there’s something for every kind of reader! We’ve got a full day of author conversations, poetry, storytelling, live music and hands-on activities planned. Meet independent authors, hear from singer-songwriters, discover how a physicist became a children’s book author, and join conversations with bestselling author Nancy Luong and longtime local journalists. And there’s plenty to do beyond the Main Stage! Kids can create their own bookmarks, aspiring writers and artists can make mini zines, and everyone is invited to step into KLBP’s Listening Project booth to record their own Long Beach story for community radio. Plus, enjoy live music from Mooney Starr throughout the afternoon. Come browse the books, meet the people who wrote them, discover something new and support our local literary community! Swipe through to meet our featured speakers, explore the activities and see the full schedule. Sunday, October 25, 2026 11 AM–4 PM Chase Bank Parking Lot 5200 E. 2nd Street, Belmont Shore FREE admission and open to all ages!
