From bread and pastries to frozen goodies, they’re always coming through for our Vikings! 🥐🍞🫶🏼 Their donations make such a big difference in keeping our Viking Vault stocked and ensuring our students have access to food when they need it.

SAGE Scholars had the privilege of hosting its first Fieldtrip of the year at world renowned NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory one of the top research facilities in the world. At JPL Explore Day 26 I had the opportunity to observe our STEAM Scholars fascination while exploring hands on with robotic models that roam our universe and helicopters that will be used in the near future to venture into outer space. We also learned how the world’s atmosphere is affecting our climate right here in Southern California. The past, present and future were fully represented at NASA today. #nasajpl #blackstudentsuccess blackexcellence

SAGE Scholars Academy on the Grow had the privilege of hosting its first Welcome/Akwaaba Luncheon. President, Cy’Erra Bolt shared the purpose of SAGE Scholars and an overview of its Executive Delegation. During the team building exercise each Scholar found an Adinkra symbol they best identified with and shared why those attributes have shaped them into the individuals they are today. We broke bread 🥖 provided by @caferio while listening to our Scholars discuss their majors and future career choices. Our very own SAGE Scholars Queen Mother #sharonjordan joined us to share her experiences as an LBCC Alumni who has now transitioned to Cal Poly Pomona. @cyerrasankofa so proud of your leadership. The day was truly edifying to the soul! God Bless. #sagescholars #adinkrasymbols #blackstudentsuccess #queenmother

This is what community looks like at Long Beach City College (LBCC)!

In this special moment, Dr. Nina Richardson recognized International students, graduates, and staff who made a meaningful difference in each other’s lives and in the LBCC international student community.

These awards were more than just certificates — they celebrated support, leadership, kindness, hard work, and the people who help make LBCC feel like home.

At LBCC, you can experience:
✅ A community that celebrates your achievements

✅ Faculty and staff who truly support students

✅ Students who uplift and encourage one another

✅ Opportunities to lead, connect, and make an impact

✅ A campus where your journey is seen and valued

Congratulations to all the students, graduates, and staff who were honored. Your impact is part of what makes LBCC such a special place for international students.

At LBCC, you don’t just study, you experience community, celebration, and belonging. 🌎🎓
