Entanglement / Utopia releases on bandcamp today and it just so happens to be Bandcamp Friday which means that for the next 24h all the money goes straight to the artists 🙏 Last chance to preorder the first press of our 7" lathe cut too. Link in bio! Rave At Your Fictional Borders introduces their new formation with a two track audio and live performance video EP made in Morocco. ‘Entanglement / Utopia’ weaves pulsating bass lines, hypnotic Moroccan drum feels and guitar-defying, otherworldly soundscapes into a fluorescent web of emotive, polyrhythmic intrigue. With their first release as a new band, Rave At Your Fictional Borders lets the audience into their magical entanglement with two 5 minute tracks, composed, performed, recorded and filmed simultaneously. The footage documents the very moment the music was heard by all involved for the first time, depicting the special synchronicity the musicians found in each other only some days after their first meeting. The name “Utopia / Entanglement” is inspired by modern theories in which the physical phenomenon of quantum entanglement could be used to describe the mystery between two or more human beings that might be separated in space and yet share a unique and seemingly destined connection. At the same time it is reflective of our ever growing need to overcome hate and conflict created by corrupt politics and arbitrarily set national borders and enable people to find true love and happiness instead. #raveatyourfictionalborders #newmusic #entaglement #utopia #experimentalart #morocco #davederoserecords
