Twenty-two years ago, I became your mom. Today, I get to watch you become the man you were meant to be.

From scraped knees and surfboards to late-night studying and chasing big dreams, you’ve always done things your own way. Watching you graduate from college has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

You worked hard for this moment, and somehow you still managed to stay kind, humble, adventurous, and completely yourself through it all.

Love Letter to Morro Bay w/ @lbsusurf
Because of this club that I helped bring back three years ago, I have had the pleasure of exploring and surfing so many new spots and connecting with people I would have never crossed paths with. Now to get specific to Morro Bay. This trip always resembled this sense of adventure, community, freedom, peace…(the list goes on). It was never fully about the waves or conditions of the ocean. It was about connecting with people, sharing a lived experience, learning how to slow down.
Do not get it twisted though, the more time in the water the better. The ocean is healing and I hope everyone gets the chance to experience the amazing things it has to offer.
I am so grateful to have shared and experienced this with new and old friends. My time in college is coming to a close, which leaves me feeling both sad and grateful. I do not know where I’d be without @lbsusurf
I love surf club. I love morro bay.

🌀2023🌀a year full of adventures, shows, creativity and taking risks

i feel super blessed and grateful for the highs and lows of this year. i was surrounded by great company and i’m proud of myself for everything i accomplished this year, especially finally graduating college!!!

I learned to tune into my intuition and try to do what i think is best for me. i took a risk moving to san diego even though i still had a semester left in long beach. it was the best decision ever! i’m definitely going to go out of my comfort zone more and i’m stoked to see what’s in store for 2024

“1506” @hsssurf is where it began for many of us. “BERT” had graduated high school and was President of the @lbsusurf . He was studying to be an engineer and was going to work for an Aerospace company. He heard about a job @hsssurf .
He met the owner Aaron “AP” Pai @hsspai . “BERT” was impressed with how “AP” had a thriving business. Although it was work, it was fun and a well run business. “BERT” felt and saw the passion. It left an indelible mark on him. After college, “BERT” went on to apply and interview for potential jobs, which he could have had any of them.
