Chromatic Topographics explores how the colours red, green, and blue shape the way I understand urban space. The project focuses on the boroughs of London.

Having grown up in India, where colour is embedded in the everyday landscape, I initially experienced London’s architecture as grey, industrial, and highly organised. Within this man-altered, concrete-heavy, and often brutalist environment, I began noticing small but striking moments of red, green, and blue that slowly reshaped how I saw the city.

Using RGB, the digital foundation of the camera, I approach colour as both structure and emotion. Through a frontal and direct photographic style, I document ordinary, banal, and industrial spaces, transforming overlooked corners into places marked by rhythm, colour, and meaning.

Thanks to everyone who came and spent time with my work. It’s the best feeling in the world to see something you’ve put so much effort into resonate with so many people. Thank you to everyone who took part in this project, as I mentioned at the end of the book, getting to know you deeply has been the most rewarding part of the entire process.

My graduation project exploring what it’s like to live with mental health struggles in the modern world will be exhibited as part of the postgraduate show, opening Thursday, November 6th, at London College of Communication, Elephant & Castle.

We are honoured to welcome Marcin Kornacki @se18kornacki to our upcoming IN FOCUS event on the 10th November @riversidestudioslondon , 07:15 pm.

Marcin is a London-based documentary photographer and UAL MA graduate in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography. His work explores memory, landscape, and the marks of collective history, drawing powerful stories through close attention to place and the unpredictability of encounters.

His ongoing projects focus on places where political violence and colonial legacies remain alive in both land and memory.

In Haiti, Marcin documents Port-au-Prince as it descended into gang control, tracing the aftermath of revolution, foreign intervention, and daily survival.

More recently, he has been working in Bolivia, photographing mining communities around La Paz, revisiting Milluni site of the 1965 miners’ massacre to explore how resistance and political narratives endure across generations.

In his talk, Marcin will share reflections from working independently in conflict zones and politically unstable regions on the challenges, mistakes, and lessons learned through his fieldwork in Haiti and Bolivia.
