We’re fast approaching one of the most exciting weekends of the year, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t take a moment to shout out our amazing community sponsors! 🙌🏾

It takes a village to bring a weekend like this to life, and we’re incredibly grateful for the organizations that continue to show up, invest in our vision, and pour into our community.

A HUGE thank you to our sponsors for helping us create spaces where our community can gather, celebrate, connect, and make memories together. We couldn’t do it without you! ❤️

Let’s get ready for an unforgettable weekend!

Good afternoon PTK and LCC, little bit of a late post (was a crazy morning with the resource fair). My name is Cheyenne, I am the chapters vp of social media, a little about myself. I love spending time with friends, going to the arcade, bowling, movies, etc. I also love going to cedar point, I go anywhere between 1 and 2 times a year with my girlfriend, her brother and his cousin. I am currently going for graphic communication, and I'm also a part of the school art club and the nureodivergent friendly campus initiative, I also work on campus as well. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, even if I don't know the answer I'm sure I know someone who does 😀

Hi PTK family! 👋 I wanted to drop in and introduce myself as your new co-president! My name is Michelle, and I’m currently pursuing my Associate degree in Education here at LCC, with plans to transfer to Michigan State to become a secondary math educator.
Education and student success are huge passions of mine. Right now, I work as a Math 120 peer tutor here on campus, and I absolutely love helping my peers build confidence in math! That same drive is what motivated me to step up as co-president. I am deeply passionate about supporting our members, encouraging high achievement, and advocating for the academic success of every student at LCC. Being part of PTK has been such a rewarding experience, and I’m always here as a resource, leader, or sounding board for anyone navigating their college journey.
Between classes, tutoring, and chapter responsibilities, I’m super lucky to have an amazingly supportive boyfriend, Adam, and two dynamic boys, Jaxson and Dawson, keeping me grounded and cheering me on! During the fall, you can usually find us in the stands in full football-mom mode. When we’re not on the field, I’m usually re-energizing with an iced coffee, learning more mathematics, or binge-watching my favorite show—Outer Banks (P4L ♥️—what's your go-to show to binge?).
I’m so excited to serve our chapter and get to know all of you! Drop a comment below with your major, a class you’re taking this semester, and what kinds of events or study groups you’d love to see from PTK this year—I’d love to connect! 👇📚✨

Hello. I am Yeonmi Whennen-Brown. I am the chapter's co president! I am from Northern Michigan.

A bit about me academically, I started here in fall 2024, had a breakdown, withdrew, and returned to classes summer 2025. I am going for the Radiology Technician program!

In my free time, I am playing the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV. I've been an active player for nearly 10 years! I also play a large variety of other PC games. I also paint and sing.

This year, we plan to have more events, and more community involvement. Please keep an eye on your inbox and on our socials for more information about those events coming soon!!

Thank you, @lccstars and the Lansing Community College Foundation, for having us at the 2026 Fall Kick-Off Party!

We had a blast connecting with attendees, and our Cash Cube was a hit! Our president and CEO, Jeff Benson, had just as much fun giving away money as staff did grabbing it.

Huge congrats to Barry E., winner of the $300 raffle drawing!

We’re excited for another school year and grateful to be part of the LCC family and community 🫶

Thank you to @lccstars for inviting us to the Student Athlete Orientation!

Our President and CEO, Jeff Benson, and Community Financial Education Coordinator, Kate, had a great time testing students’ money knowledge with a pop financial quiz.

Congratulations to Cody for taking first place and winning $100, and to Nick and Elijah for placing second and third, each earning $50!

We wish the #LCCStars a successful school year on and off the court!
