Over the weekend, students and staff from L’Anse Creuse High School - North’s NHS and DECA club hosted their second annual “Be the Light” Suicide Prevention Walk. This event brought families from around L’Anse Creuse together under one mission—to be the light for others, spread awareness, and create a support system so that no one feels alone.

The route led attendees through the neighborhood surrounding LCN and included several student-led mental health stations. All proceeds from the walk benefitted Kevin’s Song, a nonprofit organization dedicated to generating public awareness about the causes of suicide, its prevalence in our society, and possible preventive measures.

We are so unbelievably proud of this community for standing together for such an important cause. Thank you to all the sponsors, the student and staff organizers and volunteers, Kevin’s Song, and to the L’Anse Creuse community for showing up to Be the Light for one another.
