One week from tomorrow, Thursday Dec. 4th we’ll be screening our film FREE @ Sailsbury U, Salisbury Md. : 5:30 p.m. - Fulton Hall #111 - in conjunction with the @hardartdc1979 exhibit. This pic - from our film - is of HR playing for a lone spectator (named Opal) was shot circa ‘79 by PTC cocreator Paul Bishow in the original Madams Organ artists coop (not to be confused with the current blues bar). Q&A with filmmaker James June Schneider @la_brume_et_moi after the screening. After an amazing screening @galactic.panther and swell q&a with @antonia.tricarico , we are doubly looking forward!

If you missed the inaugurating Hard Art show in DC many years ago, this is your chance to take a trip out and see the exhibit - and see PTC. There is a video loop in the gallery of bands playing circa 1979 at the Madams Organ art collective. The exhibit is located at the Salisbury University Art Galleries, University Gallery in Fulton Hall.

“The exhibit and book bring alive the birth of the DC punk scene and its lasting impact on culture worldwide. The photographs were taken by celebrated photojournalist Lucian Perkins. Musician and
writer Alec MacKaye appears in Perkins’
photographs and pens the narrative of his time attending these transformational shows. Additional essay by Henry Rollins.”

PROGRAMS - all events are open to the public and free!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening reception of TRACE, our third gallery pop-up in partnership with Chevy Chase Pavilion, which opened on October 4 at 5335 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC (entrance next to The Cheesecake Factory). It was wonderful to see so many neighbors and friends come through and support our fabulous local artists.

Featuring local DC artists @lconstantinople, @riotmarty, @claire__packer, and @antonia.tricarico, the exhibition explores human presence, memory, and the traces we leave behind through portraiture, landscapes, and mixed media. Together, the works invite viewers to slow down and consider the emotional textures of everyday life and the often-unseen stories embedded in people and places.

There’s still time to check out the gallery (for free), as the pop-up runs through January 10. Weekly gallery open hours: Weekdays 10 am to 6 pm, weekends 11 am to 2 pm.

Here are upcoming events related to the pop-up:

Artist talk: October 18, 2025, 6-8 pm
