️⃣ Many people forget Bradley Hill is a dog when it comes to freestyle and he showed out at U23s. Had some big wins over Koy Hopke, Vincent Mueller and Shilo Jones but that’s not all. Hill is looking for a big season at HWT and looking to finish his career strong with the Sooners
️⃣ Two of the top transfers last season are back in Norman. Jack Gioffre who will make his debut for the Sooners after an impressive performance at Virginia in 2025 with a R12 finish. Going along with him is SO Rafael Hipolito who had a great season in 2025 with Virginia Tech with some huge wins. Last season Hipolito had to take a medical redshirt after an injury at Tiger Style but both wrestlers are looking to bounce back strong!
️⃣ The 2027 class is looking strong with Legend Ellis a 2x state champ, U17 US Open Runner Up and being 4th and 3rd at Fargo at 150 lbs. Along with him is California own Slater Hicks out of Valencia who placed 7th at Super 32, 4th at Fargo and a Pan American Greco Champ. OU still looking to add more talent but it’s a great start for the Sooners.
️⃣ OU had a great 2026 class but the two names that stand out are Mason Ontiveros and Dallas Russell. Both are capable of being great for OU, both were Fargo Runner ups in 2025, Dallas being a 4x state champ from Georgia and Mason being a 2x State Runner up in California. Both are looking to be strong for the Sooners coming into their freshman season.
️⃣ OU went heavy in the portal this season and they picked up a lot of talent. First they got 141 Isaiah Powe from Iowa Central who was a Qualifer for Chattanooga in 2024 and recently picked up a win over Iowa own Nasir Bailey at Soldier Salute. The same day the Sooners picked up Nebraska 174 Ty Eise who is a young but very talented wrestler who was a Super 32 champ and highly ranked in @matscouts1 rankings. Eise will work very well with Mark Hall this off season. Jersey Robb a tough upper weight from OSU with a big background. A 3x state champ out of Bixby, 2023 Fargo Runner Up and recently took 5th at U23 in 2025. Finally Liam Daniels from Little Rock who was a state champ for Del City in ‘24 who’s going from 197 to HWT this season.
