Two of my most exuberant young readers are my little nieces, and when I mailed them an early copy of BEEP BEEP TO SLEEP, they were amazed by the bonnet-clad brown girl on the cover. When their mom sent this pic of them, I was struck by their reading of the dedication page. My nieces are still grieving the loss of one of their stalwarts, their beloved great aunt Evelyne (Didine), and this book is dedicated to dearly departed loved ones who once lulled us all to sleep.

@publisherswkly nailed it when they called this book an ode to sleeping WITH rather than DESPITE outside noise. I wrote BEEP BEEP TO SLEEP to help soothe skittish souls like my son’s, while acknowledging the cacophony of life. With the noise of the world slamming louder and scarier, I offer this book as a way to safeguard a localized sort of peace for little ones as they rest their sleepy heads to dream of a more just tomorrow.

BEEP BEEP TO SLEEP illustrated by @olivia.duchess releases in TWO DAYS! (Yes, there’s still time to support this book with a pre-order—see link in bio!)

Yom Kippur is a time to look back, take responsibility, ask for forgiveness, and think about how we can do better moving forward.
In honor of the upcoming holiday this weekend, we wanted to share our picture book Sallie Bee Says I’m Sorry, a story about the power of a sincere apology: recognizing when you’ve hurt someone, taking responsibility for what you did, saying “sorry,” and taking the next steps to show you mean it.
Because learning how to apologize—and how to make things right—is a skill we carry with us for the rest of our lives.
Wishing an easy and meaningful fast to all who observe.

If you’re all about zombies apocalypses and romantic comedies, then @laurapiperlee’s DOOMSDATE was made for you! 🧟‍♂️💗

Buckle up for:

* A doomsday prepper FMC and nerdy film professor MMC
* Sex lessons and forced proximity
* Road tripping tomfoolery
* A cat named Chicken

And it has what may be my fave review from @kirkus_reviews: “Lee deserves credit for some of the most creative sex-scene locations ever put to paper.” 😘
