YEAR 2 ❤️ ~~~ Another great season in the books. Top-10 finishes at the state meet and top-3 finishes at NorCal for both the men’s & women’s teams. Brick by brick, we keep building! 🧱 To my group, it is a blessing to work with you all! You’ve shown me and shown YOURSELVES what’s possible. Whether it was coming back from stress fractures and shaving almost a half second off of a 100m PR or getting up at 4am to work before practice and STILL getting the job done- you have seen that success is the product of hard work and the right mindset, even without the “right” circumstances- and watching you capitalize on that this season has been the greatest gift. YOU have started to take charge on your journey and I’m here for it! Keep doing that and keep leveling up! Let’s keep it going next season. And to my sophomores, to the first ever group that I got to coach as a college track coach, I am going to miss you dearly! Thank you for trusting in me from the gun and taking the freshmen under your wing this year. Your impact was evident and you will have a positive effect wherever you go next. With love!!! Coach Rogers

NorCal recap! ⭐️ Beyond proud of this team! The level of trust, patience, and positive energy everyone displayed leading up to this meet was incredible. Every season has its highs and lows and this squad really leaned into that. Believed they could do great things against all odds, and they did. Had a lot of different training plans for a lot of different circumstances this year, and each of them completely owned it. The result was a 3rd place finish on the a 2nd place finish on the women’s side, along with a lot of jaw dropping performances. So to all my beavers, I’ll say this- you really DID THAT! You continue to show myself and the rest of the world that when you bet on yourself, life rewards you for it! Time to gear up for the state meet at Mt. SAC two weeks from now 🙌🏼

NorCal recap! Had a lot of breakthrough moments at this meet. Men’s team walked away with a 3rd place trophy 🏆 Both groups walked away with lots of SB’s/PB’s . The cool thing for me to witness was the grit everyone showed up with. Track is a sport where you have to quickly roll with the punches and they did exactly that, not just at this meet but throughout the season. Whether it was having to adjust a training plan due to illness or injury, having to compete at a last chance meet 2 days before conference just to get a time down, having to literally compete with limited vision due to unexpected issues with contacts, or simply having to focus on the next race when the first one didn’t go as planned- life dealt them a lot of crazy hands, and they still showed up and got it done. That’s the definition of grit, and they’ve got it. It’s a blessing to work with this crew! ~~~ Some highlights/PR’s from the sprints/horizontals squad: W - - PR’s in the 100m for Zoe (12.59) & Audrey (12.80) - PR in the 400m & top 8 finish for Lelah (58.53) - only her 3rd meet this season! - SB for 4x4 squad (4:01) - this crew had to overcome everything from illness to injury and still ran FASTER. shaved 2 seconds off of their season’s best 🔥 M - PR’s in the 100m for Isaiah, also snagging the last spot in the final 🤌🏽(10.73) & Jahi (10.81) - PR in the 400m & top 8 finish for Trey (48.84) - SB for 4x1 squad (41.37) - LJ - very close to a SB for Jahi with 6.5m. He came in ranked 17th and made the final, finishing 9th! - TJ - B Shine took home 🥈 with a leap of 14.05m and stayed very positive during the unexpected 30 min break in competition (technology went against us - laser calibration was off by almost an entire meter 📏😳) - ^^ on that same note, at the end of a long day and a wild jumps competition, the entire team came and cheered him on and kept the energy going on the runway 🔥
