20 minutes isn’t much time to introduce the world of Lorena 🌞. Here are the tracks that build my Petit Piknic set.

Grateful for the @le_loop_studio for making this possible ✨

PETIT PIKNIC with @le_loop_studio 🤍

February 2024.

I came back from El Salvador without the job that had defined six years of my twenties. It became my year of starting over and reconnecting with my creativity.🌺

I bought my first controller with no plan or expectations, simply as a way to channel my creative energy and anxiety. It collected dust sometimes, but I always came back to it.🎧

This past year, something shifted. I stopped treating this desire like a phase and contacted @le_loop_studio to get out of my bedroom and surround myself with people who loved music as much as I did.
It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.✨

The idea of becoming a DJ had crossed my mind, but playing at Petit Piknic with such a beautiful team only a few months later? I never could have imagined it.

There has always been this bright, sun-filled world inside me, but I never quite knew how to express it. Someone once told me to create an alter ego, but Lorena isn’t one.🌞🧡

She’s the real me, and music is the language I had been looking for.🪩

If Lorena can celebrate my Latin roots while making others feel confident, fearless, fully alive and free to be themselves, then I’ve created exactly what I was meant to. 🫶🏼

I have the privilege of staying home with my children during the daytime. Some days are easier and others harder, some days you’ll be able to do so much and other days, absolutely nothing at all… and that’s ok…

For the last 2 nights, my sleep has been way off as my littlw one has been sick…so today, to boost everyone’s energy, i just decided to throw a dance party with my kiddos. Thankfully they were on board, they love seeing me practice my dj-ing.

Just remember, we can’t always control the things that happen but we can choose to show up differently for the ones that matter the most.
