How often do you look in the mirror and like what you see? For a lot of us, it’s easier to point out a flaw than to offer ourselves a compliment.

In the latest article by @lea_grimaldi in Mandeville City Lifestyle, she explores “Mirror Work,” a practice popularized by Louise Hay that aims to silence the inner critic and cultivate genuine self-compassion. While it may feel a bit awkward at first—okay, maybe super awkward—looking yourself in the eye and saying, “I am doing my best,” can become a profoundly healing experience.

Read the full article for tips on how to start appreciating the person looking back at you in the mirror. 🤍

For this month’s #CityScene, we’re highlighting two powerful gatherings centered on leadership, connection, and impact ✨

In Her Voice brought together nine inspiring female speakers for a day of thought-provoking talks spanning leadership, emergency preparedness and safety, intuition and entrepreneurship, women and AI, healing, self-care, and personal empowerment. The experience continued with a curated networking lunch, creating space for meaningful conversation and collaboration among speakers and guests. The event was organized by speaker and entrepreneur Lauren Chapnick, with exciting plans already underway for 2026.🎤🚀

We’re also spotlighting the 2025 @northernwestchesterhospital Gala, which took place on November 15th at Chappaqua Crossing. This annual evening supports critical hospital initiatives, including the expansion of pediatric and behavioral health services, bringing the community together in support of care, innovation, and wellness. 🏥

When women are given the space to speak, something powerful happens. 🎤✨

In Her Voice was born from that very idea. Created by registered nurse, speaker, and podcast host Lauren Chapnick, In Her Voice is a women’s speaker event designed to amplify female voices, stories, and leadership. Held at HudCo in Dobbs Ferry, the event brought together nine inspiring women entrepreneurs, coaches, and thought leaders who delivered impactful talks while supporting one another and building meaningful community. 🤝

Rooted in connection, confidence, and shared experience, In Her Voice is creating a platform where women lead from the stage and speak with purpose. ❤️

Hello 2026! 🎊🥂

January is not just about turning the calendar. It is about turning inward, resetting your rhythm, and making space for what truly matters. ❤️

One of our standout features spotlights In Her Voice, a powerful local event created by registered nurse and Biggest Best Life podcast host Lauren Chapnick. Nine women. One microphone. This gathering of female entrepreneurs reminds us of the impact that happens when voices are lifted with purpose. 🎤✨

Our wellness focus continues with insight from Janna of @thriveacupunctureny, sharing how Eastern medicine supports modern living, alongside Dr. Julie Sweeney of @sproutwellpediatrics, offering guidance as children’s health and holistic care continue to evolve. 🌱

Plus, warm up on those cold January nights with our simple soup recipe featuring butternut squash, lentils, and immune-boosting spices 🥣❄️

As you turn these pages and step into 2026, we hope this issue feels like a deep breath and a reminder that growth does not need to be rushed, progress does not need to be loud, and your voice matters exactly as it is. 📖 💕

At Pause + Purpose, we embrace the power of individuality. Instead of a cookie-cutter approach, we let our mentors' creativity, intuition, and unique gifts shine through in every class. No two mentors are the same, and that’s what makes our community special. 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️🧘

We believe this approach creates space for authentic, meaningful connections. We encourage you to step into each gathering with an open heart and fully experience the one-of-a-kind offerings that each mentor brings. 💫
