A bear got one of my game bags that had some of the whitetail meat. Now I’m searching the creek bottom looking for it.

Really pretty whitetail buck! I don’t typically hunt whitetails and have only shot a few of them in the past, but I wasn’t going to pass on this opportunity to take such a pretty animal!

Luckily I shot this whitetail buck fairly close to camp where I could take care of the meat and hang it that night. Super awesome day, but I’ve got a ton of work ahead of me! 🎥 Watch this adventure on my YouTube channel!

I didn’t get this shot on film because I was not expecting to get a shot on this whitetail buck on my way back camp. My bow was on my pack along with game bags full of elk meat. I had to slowly take off my pack, grab my bow, nock and arrow and make a quick stalk.

I was able to get in range and arrow a whitetail buck with my bow! Awesome day to get a bull elk in the morning and a deer in the evening! Extremely blessed and grateful it worked out🙌🏼

Backpacking hunting elk isn’t easy and packing an elk out solo takes some time, but little goals along the way keep me going strong! 🎥 Watch this adventure in my YouTube channel!

Solo hunt means a solo pack out. Taking the first load of elk meat and my gear back to camp. The rest I hung in a tree to hang and cool overnight. I’ll have to come back for the rest the next day. 🎥 Watch this hunt film on my YouTube channel!

Greatest feeling after a sucessful hunt is getting back to the truck, taking off the pack and the boots 🙌🏼
