Took a morning trip to Book Off in Miyaharacho, hoping to find a Chanel Cerf tote, but instead stumbled upon a beautiful vintage Hermès watch and the most darling flower shop. 🌸
Even though it was the very first stop of the day, I committed to carrying a bouquet of flowers with me through every moment until finally vasing them back at my BnB.
All homes deserve fresh flowers — even the temporary ones 💐

This project was a labor of love. Last fall, I had to move out of Brooklyn and return to upstate New York.

Thankfully, I was offered a role as a digital producer for the Times Union. Since settling into the role, I have made it my mission to tell the stories of Black folks who are often left unheard, especially the Black creative minds in the Capital Region.

Last month, I had the opportunity to talk with a variety of Black artists, musicians, designers, and creators from the Capital Region. I was floored and moved by their stories. I’m so happy I was able to showcase their experiences, thoughts, and work on this platform.

Please take a moment to read through these incredible Black individuals impacting the creative space in the Captial Region.

This is the first of what will probably be a handful of posts from the Portrait Pop-Up I hosted for my Birthday a couple weeks ago now. I want to say Thank You again to everyone that pulled up and hung out whether it was for 5 minutes or the entire afternoon. Family (pt.1)

Growing up as a first generation immigrant, family has always been an important part of my life and because of this I want to focus my next photo series on family and family values.

I would like to invite every parent, sibling, best friend; any one who you consider to be ‘family’ to have your family portrait taken by me for FREE.
