For Feature Friday, the Honors College wants to showcase how one of our students found what has made them feel they belong at GVSU.

Meet, Leah Converse!

Hometown: Fremont, MI

“I knew I belonged at GVSU when I began to get out of my comfort zone and joined a variety of different organizations. Belonging to these clubs has brought many amazing friends and faculty into my life, and I have been able to make meaningful connections. I have grown my traits of leadership and teamwork immensely by becoming very involved in these organizations.”

Meet the Council!

Hi guys! My name is Leah Converse and I am currently in my senior year at GVSU, serving my second year on the Honors Council as the Vice President of Welcome Activities. I am majoring in Clinical Exercise Science with the intention of attending graduate school to earn my Doctorate of Physical Therapy and work as a licensed physical therapist. Aside from the HSC, I serve as the President of the Pre-PT club. I am also an avid member of GVSU’s cross country and track club team, this year I will be serving as the Vice President of this club. Along with this, I am a Tutoring and Reading Center tutor here on campus. In my free time I enjoy thrifting, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my friends and their cats.
