Keeping quiet and dealing with your mental health issues alone seems easier for a long time, until it's not. I've quietly dealt with my fair share of things since a young boy. One day when you think things are as bad as they can be, you'll get hit with something so real that it completely levels you. Once 2022 came around, I started losing countless people that I care about due to depression, over medicating, heart disease, etc. Just when I thought I was in a rut mentally, some real REAL shit came my way and I really didn't know if id ever be okay again.

Gratitude is very unique. A lot of times it takes going through something terrible to be able to have perspective you otherwise would have never had. My purpose was already clear, but I didn't think I'd be able to live up to my purpose at the time. My two sons want, need, DESERVE a man at his best so they can watch learn and try to do the same themselves one day. My wife deserves the world for being by my side, giving me time to grieve and sit through the rough times WHILE letting me have more than enough time to clean myself up a little bit. Having a clear purpose and having the support needed through the hardest time of my life is the only reason I wake up smiling and hungry. Having the ability to better myself is a blessing and I'm forever grateful for all of the things I've experienced - good or bad.
