Audiences look to the big houses in San Diego to deliver quality productions and important voices in choreographic work and performance. So often, outside organizations and artists in concert dance are brought in to fill the spots on the production calendar and the voices of choreographic innovation and excellence in dance that are already here among our local artists are not heard or celebrated.

The work of local artists is imperative to the life blood of our community - representation, opportunity, support, equality. Our artists should feel like they belong here on the big stages. San Diego is our home. And our work is excellent. Audiences deserve access to it. Our artists deserve to speak and be heard.
