Fun night celebrating the work of @wonderlustprod and their deep work in telling community stories. Bonus to hang out with friends, and to do it at @mnmuseum, which is an absolute gem.

Today, I got to reunite with these incredible humans, and I could not stop crying happy tears 🥹 Seven and a half years ago we made magic on the stage of @mixedbloodtheatre in In My Heart: The Adoption Play Project! 🎭 It was the most incredible experience, and it was so great to revisit it and discuss the impact it had on us and our communities! You are always & forever in my heart, @wonderlustprod 🥰💞 (more pics on Fb)

So much talent in these two cities! ⁣
⁣
So great to have the opportunity to be at this first-draft reading of the newest play from @leahecooper and the rest of the writers/actors/community members co-creating this play. ⁣
⁣
It’s very impressive how @wonderlustprod uses a community-based, collaborative approach involving a few hundred people to write the plays that are eventually presented in final form…artistic AND community-building pathforgers! 💜⁣
⁣
Please check out the future and/or final iterations of this poignant and funny play! ⁣
⁣
Kudos for the post-reading audience conversation and the visual feedback forms, too!

:: when developing the program for Interbeing 05: Ancestral Connection, I (Leigha) meditated upon what kind of support I was seeking after the death of my beloved father. Over time it became clear that I sought to gain the wisdom my forebears carried through their own losses, and to be in community with others who are seeking the same. I believe that as much as we genetically inherit generational trauma, we also inherit generational gifts, and I sit with the curiosity around what connecting to that wisdom would look like. For me, I ached for ritual, for deep reverberations that shook loose the heavy clay of grief to reveal the artisanal pottery beneath, for fire to cleanse and refine, and for nature to reconnect me to my roots.

How do you walk with your grief today? Where does it rest within your body? How does it feel there? How would it feel to let the heaviness be held in community? This is why Interbeing 05: Ancestral Connection was crafted. It is time to tend and be tended.

🌕🍂Under the full moon and just prior to Samhain (pronounced “SOW-in”), the ancient Celtic observance honoring those who have passed, Interbeing 05 is a single day retreat tapping into ancestral and living wisdom through Forest Bathing, Circlework, Labyrinth Exploration, Earth Medicine Art Practice, and Crafting Ritual. The evening will conclude with a bonfire + drumming. 🪵🔥🪘This October 28th, link in bio 🌲
