⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ BBC Music Review for Ekkozone's new Roger Reynolds release!

“American composer Roger Reynolds is an artist of rare imagination and conviction. This powerful new disc of his music is almost overwhelming in its intensity, but rewards concentrated listening. … Irvine Arditti and Ralf Ehlers give two powerhouse uperformances [in WISDOM'S Sources]… [‘O’o]'s depth and power is matched at every turn by outstanding performances from flautist Robert Aitken and the Yolanda Bruno/Mark Lee/Rory McLeod/Leana Rutt Quartet. This is a disc conceived and performed with integrity and mastery. Highly recommended.” —Kate Wakeling “American composer Roger Reynolds is an artist of rare imagination and conviction. On 13 March, Ekkozone Records is thrilled to release WISDOM’s Sources/’O’o, a ground-breaking new album from Pulitzer Prize-winning US composer Roger Reynolds, which continues his visionary collaboration with producer Mathias Reumert, and features all premiere recordings.

Pre-order now ➡️ listn.fm/wisdomssouces

The album shows Reynolds’ experimental fervor remains undimmed. Each work discovers in sound, and in the case of WISDOM’s Sources, in imagery as well – a way of thinking through the conditions of being alive in the 21st century. Together, they testify to the depth of Reynolds’s friendships and the range of his imagination, with both works growing out of collaborations with performers long entwined with Reynolds’s creative life.

Featuring the legendary violinist Irvine Arditti and illustrious violist Ralf Ehlers, the eminent Canadian flutist Robert Aitken, and award-winning and distinguished Canadian violinists @yolandaviolin and Mark Lee, violist @rorymcleod, and cellist @leanaruttcellist!
