Also, I would like to share my grief on the caption, at the casteism faced by Mr. Nithin Raj, another bright, young candidate lost to the rot of casteism, systemically murdered by cowardly casteists. We cannot have more bright students like Nithin Raj, Rohit Vemula and Payal Thadvi being lost to a casteist system. We cannot rely on a Casteist, queerphobic, anti minority, misogynistic society to protect the lives of all the marginalized. We need to uphold the spirit of the constitution and the articles in which our rights are enshrined to protect ourselves.

However, it presented a unique opportunity for him to celebrate the religious diversity that is richly documented in Tamil literature and present in the everyday Tamil experience. In this artwork, Leander incorporates both Christian and Muslim symbols—choices that reflect two key ideas. First, divination has been a universal concept across various religions, transcending boundaries of faith. Secondly, Leander emphasizes the inclusivity of Tamil identity by representing Tamil Christians and Muslims, who are integral parts of the Tamil cultural fabric. Through this card, Leander not only explores the concept of fate but also uses it as a platform to acknowledge and celebrate the pluralism that exists within Tamil society. About the artist: In recent years, Leander Kevin, a Chennai-born Tamil artist, has embarked on a deeply introspective journey, using his art as a medium to reconnect with his ethnic roots. In this video, artist Leander Kevin (@leander_scribbles) creates an illustration inspired by N.D. Rajkumar’s poem: After gorging a pan full of pig’s blood and gingili candy our gods do savage dance, striking fear and terror. Like our Gods We also don’t like that vegetarian curry. Rajkumar, a poet, musician, and translator from Tamil Nadu. Rajkumar comes from the Kanniyan caste, whose members are traditionally tantric practitioners (sometimes referred to as “shamans”) among Tamil Dalits. His poetry is renowned for the way he engages with Dalit religious practices, gods, goddesses, myths, and legends.
