✨ A perfect morning… ✨

It might look like this:

20-25 minutes of Breathwork ✔️
Lemon water ✔️
Collagen & vitamins ✔️
Skincare Routine ✔️
A cup of two of coffee ✔️
A peaceful walk ✔️
Fresh air ✔️
A little movement ✔️

It sounds good, doesn’t it? But let’s be realistic.. and here’s what I’m learning…

Not every morning looks like this.

- Some mornings I wake up tired.
- Some mornings the alarm is snoozed one too many times.
- Some mornings I don’t event have a lemon in the house!
- Some mornings breakfast is rushed or missed altogether, the eye patches stay in the drawer and the walk has to be postponed till later

And that’s okay.

Because it is not about creating a perfect routine.

It’s about noticing those little things that make you feel good and appreciating them when they happen.

💨 A few deep breaths instead of 20 minutes of breathwork.
💦 A glass of water.
☀️ Sunlight on your face.
🐕 Seeing your dog happy
☕️ Coffee.. coffee is a must!

🌿 Small things count.

So here’s your reminder today:

You don’t need a perfect morning to have a good day.

Just find one small thing that feels good… and start there. 🤍

🧐What’s one little morning ritual you genuinely look forward to?

Why Is Form So Important? 🤔🏋️‍♀️

When people think about progress in the gym, they often focus on lifting heavier weights, doing more reps, or working out more often. But one of the biggest factors in long-term success is something much simpler: good form.

Here’s why it matters 👇

✅ Reduces your risk of injury
Using proper technique helps place stress where it’s supposed to be, on the muscles you’re trying to train. Rather than on your joints, ligaments, or lower back. While no exercise is completely risk-free, good form helps reduce unnecessary strain.

💪 Targets the right muscles
If your technique is off, other muscles often compensate for the movement. This means the muscle you’re trying to strengthen may not be doing most of the work, making your workouts less effective.

📈 Leads to better results
Quality reps beat rushed reps every time. Controlling each movement, using a full range of motion where appropriate, and maintaining good technique can help improve strength, muscle growth, and overall fitness over time.

⚖️ Builds a strong foundation
Mastering movement patterns before increasing weight helps develop stability, coordination, and confidence. Think of it as building the foundations of a house, the stronger the base, the more you can build on it.

🏃 Improves everyday movement
Training with good form doesn’t just help in the gym. It can improve posture, balance, lifting mechanics, and how you move during everyday activities, making daily life feel easier and more comfortable.

🚫 Don’t let your ego lift the weight
Lifting heavier isn’t always better if your technique breaks down. Choosing a weight you can control with good form will almost always lead to better long-term progress than sacrificing technique just to lift more.

Remember: Progress isn’t about moving the biggest weight…it’s about moving well. Focus on quality first, and the strength will follow.

In my intense pursuit of wellness this year, after a rough start to 2026, I decided to try Lean Greens, in particular this one with collagen and creatine. It tastes better than it looks (I tried spirulina powders before and did not like them), almost tastes like bland broccoli, it’s not sweet nor unpleasant. Very low levels of sugar, it’s not spiking my blood sugar, as opposite to some other mixtures. If you want to see the ingredients list or try for yourself follow my link https://leangreens.com/martabarreiro/

Iv always been a fan of @leangreens but it’s got even better as their new blend also contains collagen and creatine 👌.

Both of which are important especially for us midlife women. And you are getting all the good stuff into one scoop

I add mine into my morning smoothie to make sure I’m topped up with the good stuff for the day
