Today is our Silver Anniversary; sometimes it’s hard to believe that Holly has put up with me for 25 years; she should get a sainthood. I was so fortunate that she said yes.

It is with great sadness but happiness for Archie that we announce that he crossed the Bridge yesterday, with the help of our marvellous vet Dr Colby Carpenter. Archie is now pain free and running and frolicking with Maggie and Lachie and enjoying steak for dinner. Rest in peace Archie. We will always Love You!!

Prayers are still needed for Archie; he took a downhill slide on Sunday evening and has been refusing food since then. Our Vet has given an additional medicine for his tummy and it has a pre-biotic in it. We are trying to give him baby food to eat so that his tummy copes with the antibiotics

“ Hi Everyone, Archie here, I just want to say How Happy that my mummy and daddy, aka Holly and Douglas were determined enough to feed me my medication when I didn’t want to eat anything. I have pretty strong jaws but they tag teamed; daddy would struggle to open my mouth and then mummy would push the pills down to the back of my throat and then daddy would close my mouth and keep it closed till I swallowed the stuff. Now they trick me by hiding it in peanut butter; I am so glad that they Love me as Much as I Love them. Before I go and eat some salt-free chicken they cooked for me, I want to thank my doggy doctor, Colby Carpenter, for taking good care of me and giving me more time to get up to mischief. P.S. I’m sorry for barfing in your waiting room. Love to Everyone for your prayers and comments!!! Archie”

Holly, Archie and I would like to Thank Everyone for your thoughts, prayers and comments. Here’s an update. The medicine is begining to work. Today he has done one small piddle and two large ones. He has been more alert and he even managed to slowly make his way into the front room to welcome me home from work. And tonight he ate a little bit of ground turkey that we made especially for him. Please continue to keep him us all in your thoughts and prayers as he journeys through his recovery. Thank You Colby Carpenter at Tecumseh Veterinary Clinic for all of your help! Thanks again from Holly, Archie and me.

Please keep our wee Archie in your prayers. He’s feeling pretty poorly. Our vet, Colby Carpenter has him on meds to remove water from his lungs and to clear up some pneumonia and an antibiotic. We take him back on September 6. He also has congestive heart failure. It’s really hard seeing him like this. Holly and I could use some prayers too.
