Three Years of Wolf & Lion 🐺🦁

Most of you know us as Wolf & Lion, but before that, there was AwareWolf. A dream shared, a community formed, and eventually… a hard lesson in letting go.

When that chapter closed, I did my best to pick up the pieces. Wolf & Lion was born not from a perfect plan, but from a fierce desire to keep something sacred alive. A space where people could keep showing up for themselves and each other.

This post is a walk down memory lane, a series of group photos and snapshots from over the years. Sweaty smiles, open hearts, and the kind of connection that can’t be forced. These faces, these moments, this community… they’ve carried us through.

We wouldn’t be who we are today without the support of the places that let us call them home. HUGE LOVE to @quartyardsd, @grandartique @tesorobarrio, @granadahouse, @yogahavensd and @cmcuratorial for holding space for our community 😍

Three years later, we’re still here. Still flowing. Still building. Still searching for our forever den. And honestly? Some days I just want to throw in the towel, but then a message, a familiar face, a shared story over coffee reminds me exactly why I keep going.

To every person who’s been with us since the AwareWolf days, and to those who’ve just found us, YOU are what makes us special. Every class attended, post liked, story read… it all matters.

Thank you for being part of this wild, beautiful, and deeply imperfect journey.

Here’s to the next chapter, whatever that may look like.

With love and grit,
Elyssa

Still glowing through the dust from the magic of @libfestival 💫

Grateful for the chance to teach and be part of something so alive, expressive, and heart-opening.

Festival culture is a reminder of our innate creativity, wild connection, and the beauty that unfolds when we let go and trust the process.

Special thanks to @zenarts & @lionandswan for this experience 🤍🪩🧘🏼‍♀️🎶

This is soul medicine. 🌈🔥✨

We miss our Sunday Reset class at @quartyardsd but let us tell you that what they have going on right now is not to be missed.

If you haven’t snagged a ticket yet for City Lights, do it now. We were blown away by the experience. It exceeded any expectations we had. Not to mention, they transformed the space into a vibey hangout spot (more than they already do), with a killer cocktail, mocktail and appetizer menu.

It’s family friendly, and you can use code WOLFPACK for 15% off.

City Lights happens Thurs - Sun til mid Jan, so get on it! maybe we’ll see ya there!

Sunday Reset Yoga will resume Jan 26th. ✌️

From Eventbright about the event:

🌃 Embark on a 50-minute journey through six unique zones – featuring lasers, reactive video, LED sculpture, projection mapping, and more – each inspired by a different aspect of city life.

🎨 Interact with the art, transforming the visuals with a wave of your hand. Two special zones feature choreographed light and sound performances, creating a powerful synergy that brings the city’s heartbeat to life.

🥘🍸 End the experience by indulging in an elevated cocktail lounge featuring a seasonal El Comal tapas-style menu.

We got down(dog) for disco, or maybe it was just for the donuts. Either way we had a blast at Disco Get Down Dog!

Big thank you to DJ @slothyyyy playing an epic set, @lionandswan for the fun yoga fit class, and to @quartyardsd for providing the space and bevs. Big shout out to @unpluggedvillage_sandiego for helping us build community and of course to all you incredible people who came out to get groovy on the mat and share some laughs over donuts. We love you!

We’ll be doing it again in August, stay tuned. 🪩🍩

Our Wolf Spirit Flow with @lionandswan last Friday was magical. No pictures were taken, just this time-lapse but who doesn’t love a good time lapse.

25 people moving in unison, through attributes of the wolf spirit. The attributes of the wolf spirit that this practice embodies are authentic self expression, deep rooted trust in your intuition, and to live life with strength and purpose.

Thank you to everyone who came out for Wolf Flow, you all are magical, and to @yogahavensd for hosting! Not sure when we’ll be offering this class again, but e’re thinking it’s time to roll out our Lion Spirit Flow 🦁 Stay tuned.

“Go with the flow” - you’ve heard it and while it can seem very assuring in the moment to just ‘go with the flow’ when times seem challenging or tough, but what do we really learn from that? Let’s, instead, start saying “grow with the flow”, so that we may begin to embody that growth mindset.

We will always be faced with challenges, big or small, in our control or out, regardless, instead of just rolling with the punches, let’s grow from them.

When it comes to yoga, same thing, grow with the flow. Be intentional with your movements and breath. Hold the pose for a moment longer than usual. Fine tune your alignment. It’s not about showing up and going through the motions. How can your practice, your breath, your movements, help you GROW 😍✨

Opportunities to grow with us this week:

Wednesday 6pm - Vinyasa Flow
at @grandartiquesalvage in Barrio

Saturday 9am - Yoga Fit
at @grandartiquesalvage in Barrio

Sunday 10am - Reset Flow
at @quartyardsd in East Village
